Nokogiriyama Nihon-ji Temple

Chiba > Kyonan

Japan Temple is about 1, 300 years old making it oldest imperial prayer temple in Kanto. It was founded by the high priest Gyoki who received the royal decree from Emperor Shomu. The edge of the cliff, known as Hell’s Window, has a steep slant so while the view may not be the best for acrophobiacs, it has a stunning view of Tokyo Bay, Izu Oshima Island and Mount Fuji.
