Gunma Kenritsu Tsutsujigaoka Park

Estimated to have a more than 800 years old yamatsutsuji (Rhododendron kaempferi) plant, 50 original azaelas including hanayama which is only found in the city, Tatebayashi City boasts about 10,000 planted azaelas. Season can be enjoyed, such as more than 5,000 animals “carp” is certified Guinness world record “village festival of the world carp”. With over 5,000 carp flags flying over Tsuru-Uda River, Tatebayashi City was designated as the village which has the most carp flags in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Access:

Take the Tsukuba Express and get off at Kitasenju Station, then take the Tsukuba Ryoumou 19 bound for Akagi and get off at Tatebayashi Station. (1 hour 30 min)

Take Shonan Shinjuku Line bound for Utsunomiya, get off at Kuki Station and take Tobu Isesaki Line bound for Tatebayashi. (about 2 hours)
