Shibazakura Pink Moss at Hitsujiyama Park
Hitsujiyama Park is a site that offers an expansive view of the surrounding town areas, and it is also famous for its “shibazakura” (pink moss). In its peak season, the pink moss spreads out in beautiful patterns, with 400,000 plants growing in one of the largest sites in the Kanto area. The colorful pink moss makes a lovely contrast with the blue sky and Mt. Bukozan, and large number of tourists are drawn to the sights every year. *Pink moss blooms from around the middle of April to the beginning of March each year.
