Fuma Ninja Festival

This festival is a celebration of the “Fuma Clan” ninjas who are said to have served the Odawara Hojo family in the warring states period, and it is held on the final weekend of August. The event is held at the Odawara-Joshi Park, and in addition to the booths where you can try out ninja arts like throwing shuriken, shooting blowguns, and using a bow and arrow for yourself, there are also stage performances, horse-riding lessons, and other things to enjoy.

From Tokyo Station, Odawara Station is an approximately 1 hour and 30 minute ride on the JR Tokaido Line or an approximately 35-minute ride on the JR Tokaido Shinkansen. You can also access the area by Odakyu Limited Express “Romancecar”, which is an approximately 1 hour and 20 minute ride to Odawara. From Odawara Station, the park about a 10-minute walk.
