Ashikaga Flower Park Illumination

Tochigi > Ashikaga

Featured on America’s CNN network as one of the “Dream destinations,” and was the only place chosen in Japan. At the Ashikaga Flower Park, an event called “Flower Fantasy: Bejeweled Flower Garden” is held in the winter. 3 million light bulbs decorate the park. Due to this event, the park was also selected as a nightscape heritage of Japan site, and won 1st prize at the 2nd Illumination Awards.

From Tokyo Station, Oyama Station is an approximately 40-minute ride on the JR Tohoku Shinkansen, and from Oyama Station, Tomita Station is an approximately 30-minute ride on the JR Ryomo Line, and the park is an approximately 15-minute walk from there. From Asakusa Station, Ashikagashi Station is an approximately 1 hour and 15 minute ride by Limited Express on the Tobu Line, and the park is an approximately 30-minute shuttle bus ride from Ashikagashi Station.
