Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and the Approaching Road

Chiba > Narita

In November, the trees turn red and yellow, and the world spreading out before your eyes in the Naritasan Park gardens is so colorful and vibrant it’s like you’ve walked into a woodblock print. There is also an autumn leaves festival held here. The road approaching the shrine features a variety of establishments for enjoying a meal or picking out souvenirs, such as a famous eel restaurant that has been visited by Hollywood stars, a ramen restaurant that is extremely popular with foreigners, a well-established Japanese sake store dating back to the closing days of the Edo period, and a variety of traditional restaurants preserving the original recipes for their food.
