Autumn Leaves at Oisojoyama Park

Kanagawa > Oiso

Featuring the ruins of the old Mitsui Zaibatsu villa and Shigeru Yoshida’s former estate, this park features a multiple tea rooms and museums featuring relics from these old homes surrounded by lush greenery, and from the elevated viewing platform, you can see the Sagami Bay, the Izu Penninsula, Hakone Mountain Range, and even Mt. Fuji. You can also enjoy matcha at “Shiroyama-an,” a tea room which imitates the “Jo-an” tea room, a national treasure. There’s also a light-up for the autumn leaves in November.

From Tokyo Station, Oiso Station is an approximately 1 hour and 6 minute ride on the JR Tokaido Line. Take a bus from the station to the Joyama-Koen-Mae stop, and from there the park is about a 3-minute walk.
