Drift Taxi is run by drifting pioneer and Ebisu Circuit manager Nobushige Kumakubo and Naoto Suenaga, both racers for Team Orange and D1 Grand Prix competitors. Starting off with a few donuts, your driver will take you on winding roads full of drift potential. Each course has a different feel and they change daily. However, according to the drivers, the Toge course is the most thrilling and perilous—a nail-biting pass on a tight, narrow track cut into the mountainside. You can book a Drift Taxi for yourself and up to two friends. There are two modified taxis: an orange Toyota Mark II and a white Toyota Chaser, both of which have been fitted with bucket seats. A session costs ¥30,000 with an additional ¥500 insurance fee per person. Considering you’ll be driven by drifting legends on one of the best tracks in the world, it’s a small price to pay for a unique experience.
