If you’re going to the Tomioka Silk Mill World Heritage site, stop by Kanra-machi Obata
The Kanra-machi Obata area is known for its relation to the Oda family, and the remaining streets of the old castle town have a historical elegance and have been certified as a maintenance and improvement plan site. The area is also famous for cherry blossoms, and is bustling when they are in season. The biggest event is the “Musha Gyoretsu” (Warrior Procession), a parade of brave and dazzling figures fortified in armor and helmets.
