Ikaho Hot Springs
With 365 stone steps that are 330 millimeters tall lined throughout the town, Ikaho Hot Springs has a unique atmosphere and is one of the most famous hot springs in Gunma. During the Warring States Period (1467 –1603) it came to be known as the best hot spring town after a full-scale urban planning project. Ikaho Hot Springs is also the birth place of one of the national classic hot spring souvenirs, the onsen manju. The brown outer layer of the manju looks like the color of the Ikaho Hot Springs.
