Urabandai Goshiki-numa Ponds

The nine ponds of Goshiki-numa are one of Urabandai’s greatest scenic spots.Each pond has its own color, from dark brown to cobalt blue, and changes with weather, time of day and many other factors. The ponds have earned the name “Mystic Marsh” due to this characteristic. The sightseeing trail around the ponds is 3.6 km long and takes approximately 70 minutes to walk.The seasonal scenery can be enjoyed from the fresh green grass in the spring, to the striking colors of foliage in the autumn.
